Many students today want to learn foreign languages. Some do this to go to foreign countries and make a career there and some want to take up translation as careers. The second category of people has no place in the society. This is not looked up as a prestigious career. Translation is viewed as an act of converting one word of a particular language to other and this is the reason people do not find it appealing.
Today when we have the internet, companies have spread their market to a lot of places and people think in today’s world opting translation as careers is a bad choice. But people don’t understand that the knowledge is gained only if one has a good translation back ground. The understanding is perfect if you have a good translation capability.
Individuals who want to make careers in translation should in depth study about translation by other good authors and then plan accordingly. If the start can be made with small and easy documents then the work is fine. On the other hand if famous literature is taken and translated it not only becomes difficult but people lose interest as well. People have found good careers opportunity with the help of this translational ability so it’s not a bad option to take this as careers.
